白刚玉就是行业俗称的耐磨氧化铝砂，主要加在表层耐磨浸渍纸、高耐磨饰面胶层里，核心目的是大幅提升表面耐磨、抗划伤性能，同时兼顾透明度、热压稳定性、耐化学性。

白刚玉是以优质铝氧化粉为原料，经电熔提炼结晶而成， 纯度高、自锐性好、耐酸碱腐蚀、耐高温、磨削能力强、发热量小、效率高、,热态性能稳定它硬度略高于棕刚玉，韧性稍低。用其制成磨具，适用于磨削高碳钢、高速钢及不锈钢等细粒度磨料还可以用于精密铸造和高级耐火材料。
